About

Understand the research.

Aminodex is an independent reference library for peptides and research compounds. We explain what has actually been studied, how well, and what is still unknown.

Why it exists

Information about research compounds online tends to fall into two camps: dense scientific papers that are hard to read, and marketing that overstates what the science shows. Aminodex tries to sit in between. The writing is plain and approachable, and it stays tied to the published research.

What you will find here

  • Compound profiles. A–Z reference pages that separate human, animal and lab-only evidence, list notable studies with their limitations, and say what we do not know.
  • Learn. Short guides to the basics, written for people who are new to the subject.
  • Research. Write-ups of individual studies, each with a short “study at a glance” summary: the study type, who or what was studied, how big and how long it was, the main finding and its limits.
  • Tools. Free calculators from our companion app, VialVine.
  • Resources. A guide to general lab and bench supplies.

How we approach it

  • We cite real published sources and do not invent studies, quotes or numbers.
  • We say what kind of evidence something is. A mouse study is not a human trial.
  • We state limitations and unknowns on every profile.
  • We do not make medical claims, and we do not tell anyone what to take or how much.

What we are not

Aminodex is not a medical resource, a clinic or a store. We do not sell compounds. Please read our disclosures to see how the site is funded and which businesses are connected to it.

VialVine

The same team builds VialVine, an app for keeping track of vials, routines and certificates of analysis. It runs as a separate site, and its calculators are free to use from our Tools page.
